ARTIST BIO
Lauren Walley was born in September 1981 in Houston Texas and moved shortly to Carrollton, Texas, where she was raised. Lauren grew up in a household full of music, and followed in her father's footsteps by playing guitar, singing and writing music. The local Dallas/Fort Worth Opry Scene welcomed her unique wraspy voice at the young age of 15. She captivated audiences with her original lyrics that mirrored the lives of others in which she met. Lauren never meets a stranger, and her southern hospitality allows her to engage into the lives of others. "I have been blessed with a simple life; one thing I learned early on from mama was how to be empathetic. Empathy for others and for the fragile situations they endure is what creates everyday truths in life that I write about. I write for children, for mothers, for families that have struggled with addiction, for people who lose, for people who give, for people who love. My lyrics are about life, about living, about taking chances and about the rewards in life you find once you find yourself." Writing music is her passion, and in every song she writes her desire is that you can touch a part of her soul. Her live performances are creative and full of passion, tears and truth. "Sex sells, we all know that, but anyone can be sexy, in my mind all women are sexy. I want my words to be sexy. I want to be sexy for my first love, my music. Passion is sexy, and my passion has kept me driven towards my goal, to reach the ears of people who may need one of my songs, just as I have needed the words of so many artists before me."
